Restoring a cooling tower's performance requires more than just cleaning. To achieve original design efficiency, you must inspect the three critical internal components: the Cooling tower fill, the drift eliminators, and the air inlet louvers.

1. Inspecting the Heat Exchange Media

The heart of the system is the PVC cooling tower fill. Over time, it can become brittle or clogged with scale. Whether you use crossflow or counterflow media, if the sheets are damaged, heat transfer drops immediately.

2. Don't Forget the Drift Eliminators

Located directly above the fill, Drift Eliminators are essential for water conservation. If you replace the fill but leave old, broken eliminators, you will still lose expensive treated water and chemicals to the atmosphere.

3. Check the Air Inlet Louvers
