For industrial applications where water temperatures exceed 55°C, standard PVC cannot survive. Our PP Cooling Tower Fill is manufactured from 100** virgin Polypropylene, capable of withstanding continuous operation up to 80°C (176°F).
Performance vs. Standard Media
While our PVC cooling tower fill is perfect for HVAC, this PP media is essential for industrial processing. It is available in various configurations, including blocks compatible with Counterflow Film Fill systems.
Buying Considerations
- Temperature Rating: Clearly define your peak water temperature. PP is suitable for up to 80°C. For higher temps, you may need special additives.
- Chemical Exposure: If the water contains solvents or high acidity, PP is chemically inert and superior to PVC.
- Color: Standard PP is milky white. We can customize colors, but white is standard for virgin material verification.
Maintenance Tips
PP material is less brittle than PVC but can be harder to glue. If blocks come apart during maintenance, thermal welding is the preferred repair method over solvent glue.
